Two and a half hours through the Rif mountains, then the blue town appears, pinned to the hillside. Your driver drops you at the medina gates, shares his lunch addresses and stays reachable all day. On the way back, ask to stop at Derdara for goat cheese, a local institution.

    Kasbah, souk, Uta el-Hammam square, then the climb to the Spanish mosque for the valley view.

  4. The road home16:30

    Optional stop at a goat-cheese farm in Derdara. Back in Tangier around 7 pm.
